The exiles - Classic Rock & Roll

It is with great sadness that The Exiles have made the decision to disband, for a couple of reasons.  The sudden, tragic loss of our special keyboard player and lifelong friend Blake Miles was the first punch.  The second was the news that bass player Jay Ballou is relocating to the hill country outside Austin, and there are just too many miles between us to be able to practice.

The remaining 4 members Mike Ellis, Jimi Barnett, Steve Bones and Keith Barnett will be discussing the possibility of auditioning additional players and reforming under another name.  But The Exiles, who began in the 9th grade in the early 1960's, are no more.

We want to offer a special "THANK YOU" to the many friends, family, contemporary bands and other music lovers who inspired us with their support, encouragement and love over the last 10 years in particular.  It made our time on stage performing the music we grew up with really, really special - and we will all hold each of you in our hearts forever.  God Bless each of you and...LONG LIVE THE EXILES!!!
